Haizhi Biotechnology has obtained two more Class II medical device certificates.
Hai Zhi Biological has obtained two Class II medical device certificates again.
At the beginning of August, Jiangsu Hai Zhi Biological Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (referred to as: Hai Zhi Biological) has received approval from the Jiangsu Provincial Drug Administration for its products, medical recombinant collagen liquid dressing and medical recombinant collagen ointment, and has obtained two Class II medical device certificates.
Thus, the Class II medical device product line of Hai Zhi Biological in the medical beauty sector has initially taken shape. The medical beauty product line includes three series of products: recombinant collagen, sodium hyaluronate, and trehalose, covering all dosage forms such as dressings, gels, emulsions, and liquids. The establishment of Hai Zhi Biological's Class II medical device product line lays a solid foundation for the company's entry into the research and commercialization of Class III medical device products.
The approved medical recombinant collagen liquid dressing is packaged in vials and is divided into 20 specifications based on different volumes ranging from 1g to 20g. Hai Zhi Biological strictly controls the quality of the medical recombinant collagen liquid dressing, ensuring it is sterile and safe, with no traditional preservatives added. The phosphate buffer solution and sodium chloride formula ensure the isotonic safety of the liquid dressing.
The medical recombinant collagen ointment does not contain traditional preservatives but uses a new type of "additive-free" preservative substitute (non-traditional preservative product) and chelating agents, which can control the environment necessary for microbial survival by binding with free water, thus achieving a preservative effect with minimal or no additional preservatives, while also having broad-spectrum antibacterial capabilities. The medical recombinant collagen ointment has good moisturizing properties, providing comfort in daily life while caring for non-chronic wounds and skin, and also offers a moisturizing barrier effect.
Tip: Are ointments and creams the same thing?
Ointments and creams have similar names and appearances, but what are their differences?
An ointment refers to a uniform semi-solid external preparation made by mixing active pharmaceutical ingredients with an oily or water-soluble base, primarily used externally on the skin, mucous membranes, and wounds, with functions such as moisturizing, disinfecting, astringing, relieving itching, pain relief, anesthesia, anti-infection, and protection. It should be stored in a light-proof and sealed manner.
The bases of ointments can be classified into three main types: oily, water-soluble, and emulsion.
Creams are emulsion-type ointments, which refer to uniform semi-solid preparations formed by dissolving or dispersing active pharmaceutical ingredients in a creamy liquid base. In other words, creams are a type of ointment. The base of creams does not hinder the secretion of skin surface secretions and moisture evaporation, having minimal impact on the normal function of the skin. They should be stored in a light-proof and sealed manner at temperatures below 25°C and must not be frozen.
In simple terms, they are both names for pharmaceutical dosage forms, but ointments have a broader scope, while creams are just a type of ointment.
